You know those beautiful photos you see of sunflowers in full bloom? I've been wanting to see it for real myself, and maybe get a few photos as well. I finally had the chance this weekend.
I'd heard lately that they were in bloom, so as I've been out on the roads over the past couple of weeks, I've been looking for fields of them. I finally found one on Saturday afternoon, but they were all facing away from the sun.
So I went back just after sunrise this morning to get my photos. And there they were, all lined up facing east. They stay facing east all day, by the way. I would have expected them to move along with the sun, but they do not. I captured these lovely photos. Don't these just beg to be made into a quilt?
